“We are a local Cowichan family who have been living and working in the valley for most of our lives. The Big Shop of Horrors grew from a little haunted room we put in our basement for the neighbors one year.  They loved it so much that the idea of a big haunted house in the Big Shop started to form.  After all, we love Halloween!

The proceeds from the Big Shop of Horrors are shared between a few local charities each year – because the other thing we love to do is to support non-profits in the Cowichan Valley.  We really appreciate where we call home, and this is how we choose to give back.”

The Big Shop of Horrors Charity SOCIAL MISSION STATEMENT:
To create entertaining and theatrical Haunted House experiences for those who love the thrill of a good scare.
To provide opportunities to strengthen the local community through
volunteerism, education and donations to charitable organizations.

The Big Shop of Horrors Haunted House is a non-profit society that raises money for a variety of charities. The volunteer board members are comprised of local residents and business owners who all have the love of Halloween in their blood!  Over the past haunts, the Big Shop of Horrors has raised and given over $80,000 to local non-profit charities. And now with the generous use of the Cowichan Exhibition facilities their goal is to raise more and more each year.
